David Brooks piše kolumnu u The New York Timesu. Prije toga bio je urednik u časopisu The Weekly Standard, urednik-vanjski suradnik u novinama Newsweek i The Atlantic Monthley, te urednik rubrike kolumni u The Wall Street Journalu. Trenutačno radi kao tjedni komentator u emisiji PBS News Hour i redovito piše za medije, kao što su Meet the Press i NPR-ov All Things Considered. Napisao je iznimno uspješnu knjigu “Bobos in Paradise: The New Upper Class and How They Got There” i knjigu “On Paradise Drive: How We Live Now (And Always Have) in the Future Tense”.
