David Stevenson je profesor međunarodne povijesti na uglednoj London School of Economics i jedan od najuglednijih svjetskih stručnjaka za Prvi svjetski rat. Autor je povijesnih knjiga “French War Aims against Germany, 1914-1919”, “The First World WarandInternational Politics”, “Armaments and the Coming of War: Europe 1904-1914”, “The Outbreak of the First World War: 1914 in Perspective”, “With Our Backs to the Wall: Victory and Defeat in 1918”, te monumentalnog djela “1914.-1918.
