Simon Critchley je profesor na sveučilištu New School for Social Research u New Yorku. Autor je niza knjiga, među kojima “Very Little... Almost Nothing” (1997), “Infinitely Demanding” (2007), “The Book of Dead Philosophers” (2008), “The Faith of the Faithless” (2012), “The Mattering of Matter: Documents from the Archive of the International Necronautical Society” (s Tomom McCarthyjem, 2012.), te “Stay, Illusion! The Hamlet Doctrine” (s Jamieson Webster, 2013.). Njegova eksperimentalna proza “Memory Theatre” bit će objavljena ove godine. Često piše za list New York Times, u kojem uređuje filozofsku kolumnu The Stone.
